Leather

I don't get to practice 18th century crafts as much as I'd like anymore, but I got to this weekend. Between helping my brother clean out a shed, making a few trips to pick up the last of our stuff from our old house, cleaning and unpacking some of the last few boxes, I managed to get 2 hours to make a knife sheath.

Mike sent my wife a great fixed blade 18th century-style butcher knife. He left the sheath making to me, and I finally got around to it this weekend.

I love leather.

Two hours? Damn it would take me that long to figure out where all my leather sewing stuff is.

That looks nice, son. A good replica of an 18th-19th century woodsman's sheath.
