Went and saw my wife's grandmother today, and grams showed me her new heater.
It's a square-butt j-frame, a model 37. No dash. The cylinder isn't recessed, but the barrel is pinned. It has a black anodized frame, and a blued barrel and cylinder. The barrel is 3 inches.
It's a beautiful little .38, and I just had to share it with ya'll.
Oh, and she paid less than $250 for it.

Yeah, it is a nice little gun. Odd to see a J-frame with a square butt. And for the record, no J-frame was ever recessed, and they generally don't have dashes. Get the serial number and when you get home we'll run it through the database to see when it was born.
